Morten Andersen. He has scored more points (2,437) than any other player that ever lived and if he plays for 4 more seasons, he'd be playing at 50!

The most underrated player in the NFL is any player who plays on the Offensive Line. O-Linemen aren't flashy, nor do they have straightforward stats to point to, but they are the difference in most games and seasons. It is not coincidence that the worst team in the league (Detroit) has the worst offensive line in the league and that the best team (San Diego) has a great offensive line that has produced the league rushing and scoring leader.

I think Ed Reed is one of the most underrated players. Ray Lewis gets all the credit for the Ravens defense but Ed Reed is IMO equally if not more important.

I'll also go along with whoever said Colston. He was a gold mine for me on my fantasy team this year :)

alot of defensive tackles. most of them don't get that much action, and they are the ones that do the grunt work on defense. the Defensive Ends that are right next to them get the sacks, the linebackers behind them gets the tackles. in the 4-3 there are two defensive tackles and each of them have to clog up 2 gaps per person. in a 3-4 that one DT has to clog up 2 gaps, which is hard for one man to do, just so that it forces the RB to run twords a Linebacker

Terrence Newman. They simply dont pass torwards him so you dont hear about him much. But he is a major weapon for the cowboys. Peyton Manning agrees.

I also agree with the other guy who said Marques Colston. You are going to hear alot more about that guy next year.

well, you kinda need to put a time-table on that. if you're saying this year, right now... i'd have to say either chester taylor of the vikings or maurice-jones-drew of the jags. more so drew. he's sooooo important to that jags offense. especially with taylor getting hurt all the time.
