I would like to buy a 4gb Ipod and am looking to buy one for around £80-90. But they don't seem to be coming down in price, hovering at about £120. Does anyone know where you can buy them cheaper, but from a decent (legitimate) dealer. Thanks

I meant specifically a NANO (4 Gb).

There is virtually no variation in price for Apple products across different retailers, as Apple maintain a fixed retail price on all their products.

Additionally, Apple generally increases the specification of a product rather than reducing the price.

Why Nano?

Wait 'till after Christmas for the sales and see if there's any movement in prices.

There are other MP3 players on the market that are just as good if not better than ipod's.

Try the net.

Apple are renowned for their cost, and for their quality.
the reason they haven't come down in cost is the huge sums apple put into R&D for their hardware.
Also, being owned by Apple , they are only sold under licence, this means someone cant buy a load and flog them cheaper than the competition.
they will come down in price only when the next technology appears. and some of apple's r&d costs have been met and their profits banked
