I wish I had to work! I do get to work the day afterwords, so I don't have to stay with my in-laws any longer! Whooppee!

Many people have to work during their winter holidays, especially non-Christians. Hopefully your shift won't be too long, and you'll be able to spend the rest of your day doing something you enjoy.

I work in a place that's open 24/7 and 365 days of the year. Someone will get stuck working Christmas, New Years, Easter, 4th of July, and Thanksgiving not to mention all the other holidays. I was the chosen one to have to work both Christmas Eve AND Christmas.
And like yourself I work 2nd shift, but at a hospital and I too will be spending it with some very nice people. Merry Christmas Anyway.

I don't, but i did work for a company that was open X-mas and Thanxgiving and have done it before!!! Quite honestly I think companies that are even open those 2 days of the year are greedy-a$$ bast@#&$. I mean it's just plain rediculous! Some people don't even get to see their families at all except those days of the year. I never understood it and unfortunatley more and more corporate companies are doing it and will be open those days. But also the problem is people are going out to these places actually hey make al lot of money those days.
SAD! I do not go out anywhere on those days... it's really not fair for those that work...it's like a slap in the face.
