I think it is because we have forgotten what the holidays should be all about. Our society today only thinks about spending money, how many presents can we put under the tree. It is like keeping up with the Jones'. We have to hurry here and there do this and do that. It should be about being together with the ones we love not about what we buy each other or how much was spent.

Actually it is stressful for the women. They are in charge of shopping, decorating, finding boxes, wrapping, bows, name tags, Christmas cards, making treats for Friends, and Neighbors. Doing all of the wonderful deeds that go along with having Children in school, a gift to take, and food for the class party. Then there is the cooking, arranging, and planning. While our loving Husbands have one gift to get, that is ours. And they smile and nod as everyone thanks them. And if that isn't enough, then we get the dishes too. So I am thinking that if the responsibilities were spread around a little, and shared, it wouldn't be as stressful. It is kind of like a wedding. It takes forever to plan and to execute, then on the day everything is rushed, and in slow motion all at the same time, and then it is over in a flash. But the meaning of both are important, and loving.

Try taking a 30 minute break each day, just for Yourself. Take a nap, or do something that You really need done, just for You. Take time to stop and smell the flowers, if You will. You can meditate, or better yet pray. Then hopefully You can enjoy each day. Try delegating to others jobs that could help Your long list of projects get smaller.
Merry Christmas, and may we all remember the true meaning of the season. The birth of the Christ Child.
God Bless, and Best Wishes..........

Christmas isn't like it was when we were kids. Now as adults it's our job to run around and buy things and plan things and it just isn't that much fun for us. We worry too much about get things for others, some of them we really don't care for, we just do it cause we think we should. We don't have time to make the ones we love gifts like we once did. We make too much of store bought gifts and big parties. We should try to go back to the simpler way of doing things but we seem to be going in the wrong direction. Love is the greatest gift we can give, it cost nothing but is priceless. Slow down, take a breath and try to enjoy things a little more, life is far too short.

Christmas is stressful because we imagine that impression is so important. What will I buy for this person, and what will I buy for that one? What am I going to get and what am I going to give?
Dropping the level of expectation diminishes our disappointments! There is no stress in my Christmas because I have no one left in my life. However If I could change any of this, I would invite stress back in the blink of an eye!

I think that some people just over spend on gifts when they mayb e cant afford it.They dont have the money to spend so bills go unpaid.Maybe they wait till the last minute to shop.

It's only stressful when you allow it to be. Like someone else said, it's all about what you make of it. Hope it was a good one. :)
