I'm dating my best friend and just two weeks ago I found out that I was moving a different city. What would you do in my situation? Would stay or would you go?

This is serious, no rude answers.

How far away are you moving? That has a huge part in it. Will you still be in a reasonable distance or states away?
Why do you have to move? Do you live at home and are moving with family or is it a job? These are all facotrs that have to be considered.
How serious is this relationship? Have you been dating for a long time?
I dont think this can be anwered just as a "I would stay or I would move" attitude.
For example: If i were moving just a city away and i really liked them, I would try and stay incontact. If i were moving out of state, it is not possible to keep that type of relationship within being in person, thats my opinion.
Give more info.
Sorry cant be much help!!
Good luck.

How far apart will you guys be living? Maybe you guys can still see each other.

If you guys decide to stay together and do the long distance relationship-thing, be prepared to trust the hell outta each other. Also be ready for some crazy cell phone bills!

My bf works out of state for 2-3 weeks at a time. On top of that, sometime between Jan and April, I could be moving 2 hrs away.

He gets a 2 week vacation and already said he'd come stay a week of his vacation with me after I move.

I guess, the best advice would be to just talk to her and find out what you *both* want!

I am very serious. First I would consider why I have to move. And here I am talking to an adult. The only valid reason to move would be because of a new job. People who love each other dearly can always overcome this situation. Some time away from each other won't hurt neither of you, poerhaps even be good. Then you can start planning for the future.

If youre best friends, surely your relationship will not end after one moved away. It depends on what level of dating you have, friendly date or intimate. If both of you wants to pursue the relationship further, then talk it out and find a solution that will work for the both of you and you will know if you still have to adjust once you reach your destination. But be fair and tell her about the move immediately so she can think as well.

I think you should tell her the truth and be honest and say I can maybe stay and just talk with your parents about it ALONE and just see what happends if they say no you can't stay then just tell her REALY nice things like I'll call you a million times a day and say Ill miss you I will vist I promise just say that stuff and if they say no then it would be ashamed that you would leave your parents for a 2 month relationship after all those years with your parents but its you all you!

You two need to talk this through. This shouldn't be just your decision or just his. You two are a couple, and this decision requires a couple-decision.

From my gut, I would say that if you're younger than 20-ish, let him go. The relationship is so young, and you both are young enough that you don't need the stress involved with long distance dating.

That wouldn't be good. Well, if I were you, I'd reconsider moving. If moving is really for the better or for your job, then just tell her and she should understand. She might wanna come with you! But if it's not that far, you could still visit each other. But reconsider moving and everything. I hope it works out for you!

do u really have a choice whether u leave or stay? if u dont (ie moving with parents) then u just explain the situation. its not like u can live on ur own if ur 16 or so. it happens. she might not like it but thats just how things work in life
