Adidas kits are the best in the league. That chelsea kit is awsome. The color blue is just right. Liverpool, even though they are one of my least favorite teams have a brilliant colour red. I'm hoping Trinidad gets that kit for the GoldCup next year.

I don't like Newcastle though ( i hate stripes).

The problem with the EPL is they use all sorts of kit makers and some of them suck. Did you see the Sheffield United kit. Not only is it stripes but it is so hedious the way they have that line dividing the shoulder from the arm. It's painfull to look at. I don't know how a player could feel confident when they are forced to wear ugly kits like that in the Prem. Notice the top teams all have kits by Adidas, Nike, Puma and other top brands. It's only the crap teams are stuck with the bad Never-heard-of-before brands.

So you have to ask the question. Do they have good kits becasue they are good? Or are they good because they have good kits.
(okay I'm just being silly now)

I agree that some kits are horrific.
And the kits have nothing to do what so ever with the teams playing ability, however, sometimes it might seem otherwise.

However, more successful the team, better sponsors they get, which means that they get better kits. It's stoopeed.

I like Newcastle's kit =( There was something on Fox Sports, I think about the worst looking uniforms and Newcastle was one of them. I was like, "ok, whatever...I love their kit anyway!"

In response to your second paragraph...I don't think a kit is going to make a player more or less confident about themselves. It's not what is on the outside, but what they're feeling on the inside. I think if they are determined and motivated and confident, what kit they are wearing is probably not going to matter much.

As for your question...I don't think the way the kits look really affects the club and the players. Sure, maybe it might have something to do with money, I don't know, but I don't think the players' performances are affected by what color or design they are wearing.

yup, youre right, stripes suck.. lol..
but as to your qestion, no i dont think the kits have much of a role in a team's performance. it's just a shirt.. its really the fans who care so much on how thier team looks like.

but i guess its more like a status symbol - better teams get better sponsorships hence the addidas, nike and puma on the better teams and "neverheards" on the not so good teams. i dont know who decides on the designs though, but some really dont know how to make decent shirts. lack of creativity maybe, or just plain stupid. lol!

the "big" clubs have major shirt manufactures because the manufactures know they will be able to sell a hundreds of thousands of replica nylon shirts to the morons who buy them every season for £35 a throw. Thats why adidas, nike, reebok and that lot fall over themselves to sign up the big clubs to huge contracts, and why they are prepared to offer Chelsea and Lliverpool millions of pounds for a contract lasting only a couple of years. ITS ALL ABOUT PROFIT.
