This is car made in England and I believe based on the Citroen 11 or 15CV French model. It had some interesting features namely a gear reverse mechanism whereby you had the same number of gears backwards as well as forwards and an electric(?) gear pre-selector. My father owned one in Portugal in the late fifties. If you know of this make or of any car in existence please let me know.

Yes i have worked on them in the 1960s It had a wilson pre selector gearbox.It had twin overhead cam shaft drive .If i remember it was a 12/70 model.try the Salmson owner club of Great Britain.Regards Mick Uk.

The car was called a British Salmson and was manufactured from 1894 - 1960. 20% of all the Salmsons ever made are still in existence! Contact the Owners Club at:

I believe they were cars manufactured by the British Salmon Aero Engine(B.S.A.E) just before the second World War. Have a look on your internet browser.
