Sweatshops aside, millions of people make their living in fashion.
Employees at respectable companies that make the fabric, the clothing, the shoes, etc... Farmers that grow the cotton crops, raise the sheep for wool, cows for leather, etc... Shippers who carry the goods, sales associates that work in the stores to sell the product, models who wear the clothing, designers who come with the ideas for the clothing, seamstresses and tailors who alter the clothing for customers, and many more jobs.
The idea of fashion isn't beneficial, but the industry does create millions, if not billions, of jobs world wide.
