your brain need about 6 to 8 hours sleep a night, the first part is concerned with deep sleep, where the brain repairs the body, that is followed by rapid eye movement sleep, where the things learnt in the day before, are reviewed and placed into storage, with chemical links.
each time you remember or revise a piece of information, the chemical link is strengthened, do your memory for that fact improves.

omega 3 fatty acid, and doing little brain training exercises, like saying the colors of 50 smiley faces in under 45 seconds, and then doing the eye direction. After that, the opposite direction. After that, you could say one direction and point to the other.
