Have you asked him? Has he hinted at anything? Obviously you don't want to be too extravagant after just a month (although I'm an example of a relationship becoming serious in no time). Does he have his own place, have you noticed anything he needs there? Perhaps a nice shirt or sweater or something? Or something along the lines of t-shirt or sweatshirt or jersey of one of his favorites teams (assuming he's into sports). Maybe make him dinner. Is there any particular genre of movies he likes? Some DVDs. Or music CDs (or just get a gift card for Best Buy or something). Or books.

I agree with Kieerun.... One of the best gifts you can get someone (regardless of how long you've been together) is something you can enjoy together. If you know of a fave group that is coming to town or a sporting event that would be a great gift and something you can do together. Dinner/movie tickets are a bit too humdrum. Last year I got my bf tickets to a concert I knew he'd love...although it was a bit costly half was really for me so didn't seem bad in that light (he could always pick up the dinner before hand or a nightcap afterwards). I also put the tickets in a little stuffed animal (tiger cuz he loves them) that was equipped with a little speaker thing so I could personalize the message..got it at Kohls I believe. Happy shopping..and spending time together :)

Guys love stuff from Best Buy. Get him a gift card from there, then he can pick something out like a dvd, iPod accessories, video games, or a cd.

If you don't want him to see the amount you spend in a gift card, get him a professional baseball cap or a cool t-shirt.

A new boyfriend/girlfriend, I wouldn't go crazy. As a guy I like things that are useful. you have to figure out what he's into. Tickets to a sporting event that he would like to go to. or concert tickets. I would encourage a gift like that so that you two can be together to enjoy it.
