I believe whoever was suppose to deliver it is responsible (FedEx, UPS, etc...) Make sure that it really didn't come and that your mom isn't just hiding it for Christmas. My parents tried to do that with a DVD I ordered online. If it never came, contact amazon.

scream at the ups people -- let them know you're going to be big trouble if they don't appease you. ask for managers, talk with your hands, start swearing. You know, the works.

if that fails, let me ask you this: is there another town nearby that has the same address as you? if so, go there, knock on the door, and tell them: "I'm the manager down at ups, and I came by to pick up the mistakenly delivered package you received two days ago." just act like you know it and they know it and they have to give it back. if they try to lie, and you can tell, just order him around, and he'll do it. people respond to authority. (as well as to yelling and screaming.) say, "no sir, you received the package. ask the other members of your family if they took a package in." this will give him an escape route. he can go in, grab it, give it to you, and say, "oh, you're right, my kid said that it was his friend's ipod, that he lent it to him. sorry, miss." just grab it and say, "thank you, happy holidays." and when you get in the car, roll down the window and say "sucker," and roar off, laughing.

contact Amazon ASAP. If it was only 1 day since delivery, the delivery may be behind and deliver it today. Call Amazon, or even the delivery company and explain, see what they say. If they are sure they delivered it but you didnt get it, put in a claim.

Talk to whoever delivered it (the company). Perhaps they left it somewhere hidden and your mom missed it.

Then I'd talk to Amazon if that doesn't get you anywhere.
