I would not fool with Windex and Ammonia and all that to clean glass. That is old school and it streaks.
Get you some micro fiber cloths. They only require warm water and they do not leave streaks.
I own a cleaning business as well as a car detail shop and we have not used Windex or Ammonia or vinigar on anything.
For stubborn stains on glass we use SOS pads to get the tough stain off, and we always apply Rain X, but 98% of our window and mirror and glass cleaning we use a cloth from www.EazeeClean.com
You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on every car I detail, even after waxing a car I will take this cloth and wipe the entire automobile down for a streak free finish.. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe virtually any surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!
I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out.

I hope this helps....its been our secret for 4 or 5 years!

What ingredients are in Windex® Glass and Multi-Surface Cleaners?
Windex® Glass and Multi-Surface Cleaners contain detergents, solvents, fragrance, Ammonia-D®, and alcohol. They should not be used if ammonia is not recommended for use on surface. (Windex® Multi Task with Vinegar, Windex® Outdoor Window & Surface Cleaner, and Windex® Multi Task Glistening Citrus Orange do not contain ammonia. They are safe to use in these cases.)
