Light skin requires a complex of genes that are almost always recessive to genes that give way to dark skin. It is interesting that light skin is so well liked as to generate this kind of question. It is unfortunate that miscegenation slowly but surely eliminates this much sought after look. It appears that notions of everyone being beautiful regardless of skin color are just so much PC chatter. Perhaps, white males and females can now say that they much prefer white partner's physical traits now that non-whites can say this so openly.

Well, what difference does it make, you know. I hope you're not hoping it'll be one way or the other because this kid will be part of all of ya'll however he/she turns out.
But, to answer, if both grandmothers are light skinned (are they white? or just light complexion?) Then I'd say the baby likely could be similiar in complexion. the odds are about half and half for light or dark complexion, genetically speaking, with two 25% light complexions.

its very rare chances to have light skin baby
to dark brown parents .
the reason is that dark colour is dominant over light .
its all genetically.
but there are some .0001 chances of it ,if your diet is regular and contain mostly milk or milk contents .
milk also give light colour.
but its very very rare to have light colour baby .
lets hope so and drink milk as you can it will help you alot.

I think that it is very hard to predict the skin tone of babies, it is probably due to quite a lot of gene complexes, unlike eye colour.

I have mediterranean toning, my grandmother one one side is spanish. however, my sister is pale and blond (Norse grandmother on other side).

Just shows it's a hugely complex process to determine skin tone..!

Don't dwell on skin color. Be glad you are pregnant, and pray for you baby to be healthy. That is all you can ask for. The rest is up to fate. Skin color shouldn't matter anyway.
