It is safe. I bought my Xbox 360 on ebay 1 year ago and it works great. I also bought the wireless router, a wireless controller, and a wireless headset from ebay. I have purchased all my games from ebay also. I paid $45 for Halo 3 on ebay and it came to my house in 3 days. After I beat my games I sell them on ebay for about the same I paid for them too. So I never really spend any money this way. It is much better than paying for overpriced stuff at the game store.

I really, don't think anyone can play a 'NTSC' mode game on a console that is suited only for PAL mode. I 2, like you bought a game last year 'Transformers' but, it didn't play on my console because the DVD was of mode 'NTSC/US' which my console didn't even play, its lying waste after that. The fault , also lies with these portals that are 2 anxious to sell these games to anyone without giving accurate information about the mode, etc. Generally, those who have consoles and have mode 'PAL' specified , shouldn't but games from US. I buy, PC-CD games from sites because i know they will work on PC's anywhere , no restriction . But,i stay away from buying console games online.
