I'm talking about the last 5 years or so. Why can't they make a movie classic like "Christmas Story" anymore?

I'd definitely say Elf. Not only was it a good movie, but it has a classic feel to it that'll last for years. It isn't going to feel dated in years like 70's and 80's movies do today.

Since "A Christmas Story" there hasn't been one. All the Christmas movies made of late took no talent to make them. Unless your a Tim Allen fan you won't like any of the new Christmas movies.

Well, the guy that wrote "A Christmas Story" is the same guy that wrote the original "Black Christmas", so check out the re-make of "Black Christmas" this year...maybe you'll be happy, or maybe you'll throw up, either way, it's a winner.

For me it would have to be Polar Express. The animation and the story telling in it is amazing.
