be prepared to do a system restore after you upgrade IE.... for some reason, it's been deleting some people's sound drivers and other necessary files..... if you do a system resore it will restore everything back to before you installed it...
I, personally, will wait until version 7.1 or 8 before i upgrade, good luck!!

I would strongly suggest you dont touch the IE 7 yet because there are so many problems with it still, I would wait a few months until ms have ironed out the problems, if you read these pagws often you will see so many people asking how to get rid of IE 7 because of problems, you should have a look at mozilla firefox if you want another browser, it runs very smoothly and is more secure. I hope I can be of some help

I have checked in the add/remove programs section and
IE7 is 3.99 MB so not very large as one would first think, and my copy of IE7 was downloaded with Microsoft update's, since the download I am very pleased with the product and cant see what all the fuss is about, there have been no problems yet, and all my software is operating as it should.

Dont bother I hear nothing but bad things about it, or at least wait until they deal with the bug colonies.
If you really want to change and believe me I can understand that as IE is rather CR&*.
Go for firefox works great and no clashes like in the old days, its free and I have both on my laptop running XP.
