She may be a nice person (I'm sure she is )but oh dear! she really has no power in her voice and her notes are flat. Just thought i would ask. I expect i will be accused of being tone deaf but you would be wrong . Forgive me Katie I have nothing against you peronally

I agree. I think the material is quite good a lot of the time (at least the stuff written by Mike Batt and some of the old stuff she's covered) and the instrumentation and arangements are strong but her voice is irritating and just doesn't do anything for me. She seems nice enough in interviews but I'd rather listen to Norah Jones every time.

I cannot stand this womens voice, all her songs sound the same - I totally fail to understand how anyone can listen to this mind-numbing screeching when there are so many really talanted singers out there.

Completely agree with you. If she sang pop then she would be a nobody. Its only because her genre has very few young singers that she made her name, not because of her voice.

She cant sing to save her life, she sounds like a cat on prozac, and does she ever change her frigging frizz? she looks like a bloke with that dimple in her chin, and she whines on and on, i dont know how people to put up with her voice in concert, she certainly hit a bum note with me.

She is not a singer. God knows where they found her. It's worse than torture listening to her. She's pretty and you would definitely give her one but if she sang anything you'd have to kill her.
