why do you need to sway the parents?
they're not the ones dating him...are they? lol
you keep him, and the parents can either sit around and complain, or not
and you can either sit around and listen to them...or go have fun with the boyfriend! :)

I think you should trust your parents, hon. Though you may think you know what you are doing, they are only looking out for your best interest. Have you ever read some of the questions on this site??? of young women who thought that they had met just the most perfect guy in the world, ran off with him, got pg, had a baby, and now there they are still a teenager, no job, no education, and the guy they thought was just a prince is gone 3 years later, and they have no way to support a child they did not want, and their young years are over???? Read them hon.... one of them could be you. Listen to your parents. And date wisely. Stay in school, get your degree, and get some training or college so that you will always be able to support yourself. And again, your parents are not trying to hurt you, they are trying to protect you... you'll never be sorry. You may be resentful now, but later??? you will never be sorry....

You're parents are probably 100& right but you will never see it that way. Maybe you're just hard up for a boyfriend and took the first one that came along. Try looking a little farther and you will find one.

This is one of the zaniest questions I have ever seen.
"Your teachers in Texas didn't like him" but they didn't know his name and never met him? Super stupid?
I laughed my butt off at this question. Sorry but it's funny.

First, how old are you? That makes a big difference in how to reply intelligently to your question. Also consider this: what if your parents considered all your ideas "super-stupid"?
Now for all of us who would like to understand every questioner, and take your question seriously, please redo your profile dialogue in plain English.

Ask them to meet him and give him a chance and then decide for themselves. Tell them that if they still don't like him after meeting him and giving him a fair chance that you will honor their wishes and not date him.
