Don't you think that the people who are IN the military and LEAD the military would know most of all what's needed and what's not?
If Colin Powell, the guy who lead the first Gulf War, Gen. John Abizaid, the current General leading the war in Iraq, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff all tell President Bush to NOT add troops, I think we should listen to them.
They would know better than anybody.

I don't know if they are Demo's or not and shame on me for that but the commanders on the ground in Iraq have stated for a long time that they need more troops and who better to make the call than the military commanders. They got their high rank by knowing what they are supposed to know and that would be how to win a war. They need to let the military run the war not the politicians.

They're just doing their jobs. The last time a president blew off his generals, we ended up with Balckhawk Down.
this time, the risk is that the Iraqis will never take over if we have a million of our troops over there doing their work for them.

Of course they want victory! The problem is going into a fight that can't be won. That's what Bush and his advisers did to the American people. It is wise to choose your battles carefully; Bush did not.
