This happens a lot in internet forums...
It's due to a few reasons:
1. Any age is allowed.
2. Some ppl enjoy being hateful and when you add in the anonymous factor over the net, they wil be at their worst.
3. Some ppl need serious anger management therapy.

because people tend to take politics too seriously. the more mean the response sounds, the more retarded the guy probably is & less likely they are to actually do something about the political issue that has them worked up in the first place

its a bit of a generalization for me but i find people that are actively involved in voicing their political opinions often or have it as a field of special study seem to think their opinion is the only right one and everyone else who does not share the same opinion or have the same education in that field have no value as people and have nothing to contribute worth while to society and they become sarcastic and flip it but this is what i have seen so far and i am open to form a new opinion when i am shown i should

Because politicos have to feel they are right and always will be right...and there is no room for other opinions in their world. They're small minded people, who don't really travel or explore very much, because if they did, they would know other people have great ideas outside their own neighborhood.

Sadly, many here don't respect everyone's right to their own opinions, and they concentrate more on personal insults than on discussing the issues or asking legitimate questions. Ignore them. They are only doing it to get a response.

Because the anonymity of the Internet makes people feel powerful.
Many of the things said on here aren't things people would say if they were face to face with somebody.

Because so many questions are stupid, dishonest or insulting.
Those questions do not merit the dignity of a rational answer.
