my friend is going to live in another continent, i have known her for 5 yrs, and it's going to be so strange without her..
she will com visit when she can, and we can still email. but are we going to remain friends still?

Of course you can. Stay in touch with cards, letters, e-mail, calls when you can, and look forward to the times when you can get back together. Maybe rather than waiting until one of you can visit the other, you can vacation together in a spot you would both like to visit. This move could open a whole new world for both of you.

When you have friends far awaythey can maintain a friendship by just keep in contact as much as possible. Some friendships get lost when their friend or someone special go away. Many people have that problem, but they got through it.

you can always remain friends with someone no matter where they live. You have the phone, email, and letters to communicate with them. You may not get to see them as much as you would like but you can still be friends with them

yes, one of my best friends lives hours away, and she moved about 2 years ago. we IM, email, send eachother gifts, make phonecalls, and even visit occasionally. just keep in contact and you will stay good friends. Just be aware that sometimes friends grow apart, no matter how close or far they live.

Sure. My best freind lives states away and neither of us have money to travel. Yet everytime we pick up the phone we remember why we love eachother. A freind can brighten your life, no matter how far away they are.

Sure..I have a friend who was my best friend since we were about 8 years old..She moved miles and miles and miles away and we still talk and get along really well!..=]

i think you can coz a friend of mine once went to italy and left the rest of us in africa and we still managed to contact each other till she came back so unless you do lose hope in your friendship but it was kinda awkward when she came back good luck
