I work there and I know what you're saying. They stopped just handing out any condiments and charging for extra because people tend to take way more than they'll ever use. We find piles of napkins and ketchup in lobby all the time. It's the same thing in drive-thru, if you just get one fry, you should only need a few packs of ketchup.
Corporation actually sets up tables of how much you should get of what. Like the 4 and 6 piece nuggets are only supposed to get 1 sauce packet, the 10 is 2 and the 20 is 3. Any more and we're supposed to charge. I know it's rediculous, I'm a manager and have to listen to the complaining all the time, but we don't set the rules so try not to get too mad.
Just ask for EXTRA when you order, NOT at the last window because we're timed on everything now. That's probably why you get the dirty looks, because we're on timers from the minute you pull to the speaker to the second you pull away from the last window and asking at the last second slows our times down.

It must be just some idiot at the drive thru window who is trying to finish the order and get on with the next one and looks at you as if you are delaying things when you tell them they missed out on the ketchup. Don't think it is the same with everyone. Does this happen to you at all the McDonald's?! (Besides, try other places other than McDonalds. Taco Bell, TGI Fridays and other places are better.) Burger King has better stuff than McDonalds any day.

Sometimes my McDonalds puts in the ketcup in the bag, sometimes they don't.
If you ask for extra BBQ or Sweet N Sour sauce, your charged, sometimes not.
I actually got my fries free a couple of times cause they FORGOT to charge it. (didn't know this till after I got home with the take out and looked at the recipt)
I rarely ever eat at McDonalds anymore but when I do, they always seem to be rushy and not care. Even if they aren't that busy. You never see a happy looking person working there.

they tell people not to give away ketchup unless they ask for it and then the ketchup is away from the windows and it does make them angry the fact that are still in their window when they are anxious to get you to leave so they can press that serve button and get congradulated by their manager for great drive thru times. Maybe you shouuld askfor ketchup while ur still at the ordering window and if they still dont up it then u can give them the really pissed loook they hate that. but oh yeah to answere ur question! it's not just ur mcdonalds.

Yes, whether I buy large or small fries, 1 or 2 packs, so long as I buy them together they either give me 1 or 2 pack s of chili sauce. And it's not consistent. Just because I buy 2 doesn't mean I get two packet of sauce. When I ask for "more", it's usually just another pack more:-/ They're even stingy with serviettes! How can I want just 1 pathetic serviette when I say "MORE"? And they give just 1 serviette per EVM. HELLO???? Even when I buy a la carte drink or burger they don't even to bother to at LeasT ask if I want a serviette- I've to ask them myself.
So, I've learnt; TELL the exact number you want!!!

There are some fast food restaurants that don't put ketchup in the bags. In fact the only one that ever puts ketchup in the bags is Sonic and they also put peppermints in the bag as well.
This is around where I live and it's probably different in other places.

most fast foods are trying to save money by cutting down on the condiments, so when you place your order at drive thru also tell them how many packets of ketchup you want

They are told this to save money. Simply tell them you want more... so they can be all pissed if they want. Its not about Ketchup really, its the hispanic attitude most places. One answerer said they charged extra for sauce? No..... I know there is no policy for this. Get on the net and ***** to the regional manager about the attitude. They will send you coupons for free stuff.

We get twon handfuls with ours....and they ask if we want any certain kind. Call the manager and tell them. Managers love when people call and complain. They will get more bussiness if thier employees are good. No really call.
Hope I helped! Have a very Merry Christmas!
