E.g. for one catwalk show, a photoshoot for a magazine, an advertising campaign for a designer? Would different models get paid different amounts for the same thing? E.g. if Lily Cole did the same catwalk show as a lesser known model, would she get paid more?

An actual fee would be better than just advice or the word "lots" - I don't want to be a model I'm just interested.

Yes, different models get paid differently. Depends on the job and the model.

How much do models get paid? This is such a general question, and there is no single answer for it. You can't set a number on it when there is such a wide range of incomes.

Would different models get paid different amounts for the same thing? Yes, the popularity of the model determines her wage.

The higher demand for the woman the more she gets paid.
The more popular locations pay more than the less popular locations.
The big shows pay more than the smaller shows.
For magazines and ads, it depends on how wide-read it is, and their budget. One big magazine might pay $500 an hour, while a smaller one might only be able to afford to pay less than half of that to the same model for the same work.
Commercial print models make less than runway models.
Women make more than men and children.

well i used to be a model and u don't get paid until you complete your portfolio and are workking for someone, until then, ur on ur own trying to find what kind of model u want to be. but when u do work for someone, yes, u get paid, and the amount all depends on what business u r working for... if its some big designer then u r bound to get paid more!

hope this helps!

well, first off, if you're just getting started as a model, YOU will have to pay people to do a photoshoot for your portfolio. once you build your portfolio, you'll be able to either get an agency to hire you (they'll take a percent of your pay), or you can freelance. pay usually depends on the designer, your abilities, what you have to do on the shoot, etc. it usually ranges from $500-$5,000 a job. if you get really good, you'll be paid more. that's how it works. it's all about experience and talent. i hope you have both, or else you won't go anywhere.

it depends how successful the model is, if they are a very succesful model like Kate Moss then they are bound to get paid lots.
Also you must be very tall and very skinny to be a catwalk model... if not you are better sticking to modelling for magazines.
And if you are thinking about catwalk modeling it is a very strict lifestyle although they do look amazing.

hope i helped.
