diverse human beings have diverse perspectives on the right of the e book. Lois Lowry once reported in an interview that she would not understand no matter if Jonas extremely reached elsewhere or no matter if the chilly and being exhausted replaced into getting to him and he replaced into death and hallucinating. She reported that that is as a lot because the reader. And definite, that's the ending. desire I Helped!

She wanted you to image what would happened next. She was hoping that her reader would continue her characters journey past the end of the book. I thought that it was done well, because from there, if I wished to do so, I could write another book from the ending that Lois Lowry provided for me. I think that's what she was trying to achieve and she did it well.

It says in the back of my copy that she wanted the reader to imagine how the story ended, or, if you are not that creative, in her next book, Gathering Blue, Jonas is the blue-eyed boy that Matt mentions. Merry Christmas!!

I don't know...but I love that book. you really should read the whole series though cause Jonas' story doesn't end there! Read Gathering Blue and The Messenger for the rest of the story.

because i think the whole point of the book was to question conformity and to ask the reader to embrace differences and to accept the pains of life with all its gift. she did that.

I think she did it so the reader would read the book again to see what foreshadowing was missed the first time around (or the second time or. . . ). I've taught it for years, and if you read carefully, you'll be able to "get it."
