i listen to christmas music and i also try to volunteer somewhere that has children. this way i can pass out presents and see the sparkle in their eyes.
this is my first christmas in 7 years with a boyfriend! i know how you feel. all 5 of my sisters had families and i was just there. i hated feeling left out and unloved. this year turned around for me. i have a wonderful person in my life and i am having his child. trust me... it sucks not having a boyfriend but 7 years was worth the wait for me. it will be worth it for you too and it will happen. i didnt think so and here i am. :)
merry christmas and kep your chin up. it will happen.

MAKE COOKIES!! Ok just kidding...I totally sympathize with your situation. I know it's hard to get into the Christmas Spirit when you've got that stuff going on. What makes it harder is when you don't do anything to keep yourself from dwelling on it. In fact the thing that is going to cheer you up is if you make yourself busy doing things and not being alone. Example, going out with friends, cooking with people, going to Christmas parties. Yet in the midst of all that, you do have to be careful that you still face reality. Avoiding the topic is not going to change the facts. You need to move on, not forget, but move on. And on the subject of a boyfriend, your life shouldn't revolve around getting a guy or impressing one (I don't know if you are, I'm just saying). In other words, you shouldn't find your worth in the approval of a guy. You are worth so much all by yourself and you need to see that. I'll be praying for you! I really hope you have a Merry Christmas!!

I know how you feel. It's so commercialized anymore it really is hard to get into the spirit. I've been through a divorce and now my boyfriend lives far away. It's seeing my kids enjoy these days that makes me happy. Go to toy drives or something of that sort. Go help out at homeless shelters and see how unfortunate others have it compared to our problems. Christmas is about giving, so give back to the community. It will so touch your heart and make you have a second outlook.
Happy Holidays :)

Watch some Christmas movies while drinking some cocoa and eating cookies. Listen to some Christmas music, go Christmas shopping and buy you some things you really want. Visit the homeless shelter and see how much worse they are on Christmas than you.

To get into the Christmas spirit, I spend time with loved ones, give presents to friends, family, and the needy, and watch Christmas themed movies.

If I am in this mood, I normally sulk around or watch a depressing movie.
Then I drink a glass of red wine, think of the clowns in the White House, and:
all of a sudden I feel privileged again, because I realize what a gift a brain is!!!

Spend some time with family or friends, they will understand and be comforting. Sing some carols. Help out with the local retirement home, or a homeless shelter.

I'm never out of the Christ-mas spirit because Jesus is the reason for the season.
He loves you and wants a relationship with you. Get to know Him!

Maybe visit a children's hospital. Children have a knack for bringing out the best in us.
