Why can't Palestinians work with what they have? Use their creativity to build an economic infrastructure like roads,schools and hospitals instead of building bombs. Why can't they develop businesses and trading partnership to grow a domestic economy so they can have something to offer at a negotiations table except broken pomises of peace. Instead of wasting millions of dollars on a pointless war and spreading hate, why can't they use those dollars towards a better future for their children?

What an idiotic question.

The Palestinians have been herded into two ghettos, the West Bank, and Gaza, also known as the largest prison in the world. Meanwhile, Palestine is surrounded and criss-crossed by dozens of israeli-only highways. Can you imagine in the 21st century that this kind of segregation, or as Jimmy Carter rightly named it in his most recent book, this apartheid could be allowed to exist? It's disgusting.

For years israel touted itself as "the only democracy in the Middle East" and lamented the lack of civilization among the Palestinian "animals", and yet, when the Palestinians held free and fair elections earlier this year, israel pulled every puppet string in its hands to strangle the new government and cut off all money going into Palestine. And you ask why they can't develop businesses and infrastructure?

Last year israel finally closed its illegal settlements in Gaza, not out of any altruism but simply because the cost of holding them was too high. New settlements are still being built in the West Bank in direct violation of several UN resolutions. They always take the high ground and secure the water, and push the Palestinians back from their own land.

You whine about "wasting millions of dollars" when israel is the largest single recipient of US foreign and military aid, to the tune of 4 BILLION tax dollars every year and untold "loans" and donations. While every other country receives its US aid in quarterly payments, israel, and only israel, receives a lump sum and all of the bank interest that goes along with it. Thanks to israel, even those few million dollars can't get into Palestine to pay salaries or import food.

Let's see YOU build a country when you are surrounded by a hostile enemy who can fly their American made F-16s and Apache gunships into your airspace at will and fire American made missles into houses, schools, and hospitals. YOU create an infrastructure when American made and funded tanks and armored bulldozers take down inhabited buildings and tear up olive and orange groves on a weekly basis.

But in the long run, you knew all of this before you even posted your idiotic question. My reply is meant for those who cannot hear the truth in the American media.
