Depends on the lizard...

I have had Geckos that chirp.

I have had Jackson Chameleon's that were totally silent.

And then there is the Geico Gecko... he tries to sell you car insurence.

Many lizards hiss when they are afraid or angry (it's a "warning: back off!" noise), and some make clicking sounds to talk to each other with, but those clicks are generally right on the edge of human hearing.

Some of them do, take the 'Barking Gecko' for example. Others make a chirping/other noises. It really depends on the lizard, bust most are relatively silent.

I have a Tokay gecko which makes an awful croaking noise at night.

Most lizards are silent, however there are species that will grunt,chirp,hiss,etc

depending on what kind and what size some hiss some grunt and some make no sounds
