Simple: The more education you have, the better your chances of getting a job that pays well and doesn't involve a lot of physical labor. A high-school diploma is the absolute minimum amount of education a person needs, and if that's all you have you're limited as to what jobs you can get unless you have training in a special skill (vocational training) or you're willing to work all kinds of crazy hours doing all kinds of crazy/grueling/messy stuff. A college degree doesn't guarantee you a cushy Monday through Friday job with good pay and benefits, but many employers won't even consider hiring you unless you have a college degree. So if you want to make good money and have a nice home with a nice car or two, your best bet is to get a college degree.

how is reading the bible going to answer this question? education opens door that would otherwise be firmly locked to you. it doesnt matter how far you go in the education system, well in one respect it does as the further you go the wider the door opens but to have a basic education is better than to have none at all surely?
