it could be braxton hicks contractions. i had them at 50% for over a week and thought i was in labour to begin with until i went to the hospital.
It could also be that your body is trying to start labour so it could be very soon. has your baby stopped moving so much? thats another sign but doesnt always happen. you may also have a "show" where the mucus plug comes away or your waters may break but you might not have contractions at the time.
feeling sick can also be a sign.
good luck not long left!

The great thing about labour is that noone can every know what's going to happen. No two women are the same and no two labours are the same. My first labour started with contractions that wouldn't stop and a show (when the mucus plug comes away it's pink or brown blood spot). With my second labour I had no contractions but my waters broke. Goodluck

You wont know when it is near you will know when you are in actual labor. If you are 39 weeks than it will happen very soon. Be patient. Try to get as much sleep as you can before the big day comes :) Good luck.

Well....regardless of wether you are in labor now or not...you only have one week left so YES, it will be soon! :)
Seriously...the symptoms you are feeling are very common in your last couple of weeks because you are considered full term and your body is getting prepared.
When your contractions fall into a timed pattern and they don't go away wether you are active or at rest...or if your water breaks...that's how you will know that you are in labor.
Take a shower..have a healthy meal and make sure your bags are packed..it will probably be soon.
Good luck and Congrats!

When the pains are coming at regular intervals,Your waters may break,Or you could have a show(a snotty blood stained jelly) You need to be parent,I know how difficult that can be(I have 6 kids) Baby will come when she is good and ready. It looks like you already know what you will be getting for Christmas.Merry Christmas and a busy new year,Let us know when baby makes a appearance.

These sound like the braxton hicks contractions that usually you get just before labour aswell as the other symptoms i'd say it should be soon. good luck and i hope it all goes well xxx

You'll know when labor starts- You're probably having Braxton Hicks contractions which are preparing you for the real thing.

REAL contractions are constant, And get stronger and stronger! :)

Best of luck to you!! Your new little one should be here soon!

Sholudn't be long it will be when you least expect it so try to calm down relax and stop thinking about it,i was a day before being induced when i started, because i stopped thinking about going in natural labour and i let my guard down it happened.good luck and remember it will hurt but its all worth it think of that little baby you will soon meet.

Sounds like your getting ready. You will know when they really hit. They get stronger and more regular and they don't ease up when you change positions or walk around!
good luck and congratulations!
