how do you save a file created in windows movie maker to cd when drive not detected appears?

sounds like either the driver has messed up, or one of the wires on the cd drive may be loose - like over time from vibrations etc, pull out the ide cable and push it firmly back in, you know if its the molex power cable - if the cd doesnt light up or eject when the pc is switched on, either the drive is knackered or the molex isnt seated properly etc.

Repair or replace the CD burner.
