Costs and availability depends greatly on where you are... I am happy with Verizon DSL at $17.99 a month, but it probably isn't available everywhere :( your best bet would be to do a web search on DSL providers and visit some of their websites to see if they are available in your area most times all you have to do is give them your phone # and they will tell you if you are able to get it. As for the wireless part, most providers do have modems that are available for wireless, but keep in mind that wireless is not as secure.. Good Luck !

Well, you are asking a question that is pretty simple to answer. OK, if you want a connection faster than your dial up, then you need DSL, however, wirelless connection is nothing but the router, it doesn't provide you with broadband internet on its own, you have to have a DSL to connect it to your Wireless router to use it wirelessly. However, you will need that if you have a laptop and want to use whereever you want to. However, if you have a PC, then you don't need to a wireless router and just a router provided by your DSL provider.

Some examples could be Bellsouth, if that is your phone provider...

Mostly your local cable or phone company will provide them. It ranges based on where you are in the country, but count on $40-$60 a month. Road Runner (from Time Warner) offers a wireless broadband modem, so that would kill two birds with one stone. I'm sure that it is not unique to them, so check with the local cable company.

In my locale, $45 - $60 per month for broadband/wireless. Your local phone or cable company can probably supply you.
