I have this friend named Robhyn and her crush is always saying she's a geek and calling ehr names.In this case he does not actually like her.She's really pretty and the only reason I can think of as why he wouldn't like her is becuase she doesn't own a single min skirt or halter top.She's fashionable but not sluty like other girls.So why again are guys so shallow?

Teens in general are shallow, because they haven't experienced life and learned that they aren't the center of the universe yet. I thought I had that figured out when I was in high school, but then I got older, and I really figured it out, and I look back on my high school days, and even though I was quite a bit less shallow than the average, I say to myself, "Was I really thinking that? How shallow was I?"
Trust me, girls are just as bad as guys, they're just different. I bet you don't even know how you've destroyed shome guy's self esteem, you just blew it off like it was nothing. And to you, it was nothing.

It's called peer pressure and the need to fit in. In these years of development, teenage boys just want to do what they have to do to blend....I'm sure your friend is a very pretty girl, and actually doesn't have a lot of flaws...but if she's not something he can flaunt, he's not going to be interested because he wants his friends to think that he's the "man". It's normal.....but don't think that this behavior is limited to teenage boys, this is only the beginning.

Because guys at that age are immature and isn't aware of a quality woman. Men at all ages are visual. they like to see what they are getting. A real man will see pass that nonsense and like the girl for who she is spirtual and emotionally. A real man doesn't want a woman "advertising" her flesh.

Guys at the age of teens are all hormones it's best just to ignore them. It's all about sex if a girl won't give it up they'll move along. they eventualy grow up we just have to wait. and no not all guys are like that it's just that the shallow ones are who we remember and the nice ones pass us by.

Because they are that...teenaged BOYS. They are immature because they havent grown up yet. Not to mention MTV doesnt help, what with shows like: NEXT, REAL WORLD, INFERNO, LAGUNA BEACH...and just about everything else on there. Its sickening. Not to mention they are warping young girls minds to making them snotty, spoiled and wayyy too thin.

they dont know anything about anything..... hes prolly one of those guys thatll talk **** about his g/f but if she leaves him he get mad!! Its possible for a person to really like someone but not the way they carry themselves...i think she should call it quits! hes an jerk.!.....if she lets him "mold" her into this person he wants her to be then shell be miserable cuz its not her self anymore in other words shell be fake.
or maybe a little birdy(his guy friends) are telling him how a relatiosnhip is supposed to be.....
