Does anyone know of a charity or company that would do this? I live in Cardiff in South Wales but ideally if it worked within the UK that would be fab

Try contacting your local council for details of any schemes they have running for collecting items of this nature

If its broken you should be able to find a tip in your area they're usually run by councils. Phone up the council and ask them about getting it removed or where you need to take it.. usually the environmental dept. would look after this kind of thing.
