I'm always getting stuff like hand me downs and when ever i see a friend with cool new clothes i'm jealous.

Jealousy is insecurity. You need to feel good about the person you are. Not what you wear. Of course it is nice to have cool clothes but you can make your oun clothes cool. Use your imagination. Get some scarves, belts, jewelry, accessaries to wear with your clothes. Create your own style. Be unique. Hats are also cute. You can get alot of this stuff at thrift stores for very little money. But remenber its the person that makes the clothes not the clothes that make the person.

Why are you jealous in the first place? Ask yourself this.
In your case, it`s because you feel embarrassed and uncool upon seeing your friends with trendy clothes while you have none. Generally, people will turn green with env, or jealous. Perhaps you are just envious of your friends. Have you thought about that before?
It`s normal to feel envious or jealous. It`s an emotion that comes to everyone just so naturally. Funny that you should ask this question though, it`s normal human instinct to feel. Just like, people feel happy, angry, sad. It`s all the same as feeling jealous. Yeah ? :)
God bless. Save up and buy stuff for yourself? Perhaps you wont feel jealous this way.
Ps. I have had the exact same prob as you. I`ve always gotten the hand-me-downs and I`ve since learnt to get stuff on my own so that I`d not feel envious. :D

Jealousy is a reflection of your own insecurity. Be confident of who you are and you won't care what other people think. There's nothing wrong with handmedowns, just put them together in your own unique way. Remember you got yours free or very inexpensively while they paid major $$ for what they're wearing. Be proud of who you are and don't worry about the superficial stuff.

hey, dont worry about that! cloths go out of style so quickly, and some of the 'cool' styles are so ridiculous, its good your not wasting your money! plus you can have a style that is all you with the cloths you have.

the whole concept of jealously is that a person have something dat u want or u would want to have and the sad part about it is Most likely when u do get it , it wasn't worth it

There are alot of reasons but its mostly because they feel scared that if they dont watch what there g/f or b/f is doing they might lose them
