My question is, what are your thoughts about how this former terrorist transformed from hate to love?

As far as religion is concerned I simply ment that some terrorist who harber hate and kill people seem even more dangerous when it comes from a postion where they believe God is telling them to do this.

I am trying to avoid the obvious current day association between terrorism and a specific religion because I want to build bridges to all good people of all peaceful religions and ideologies.

The Beatles wrote " All you need is Love."

Hate is inherant in all people. Some people even have hatred towards hate and love.

What we needs is to accept GOD love through Christ and the world will be a better place.

Put the love of GOD in your heart and accept Jesus today.

My understanding is that people misinterpret religion in order to fulfill their own objectives. No religion teaches terrorism. The Qur'an especially condemns killing innocents. In fact, the Qur'an teaches that war should only be defensive and if the other side does not want peace. It further stipulates that one may not even harm trees or innocent people or women or children in defensive warfare!!!

Religion all by itself? Or perhaps it's more the peoples interpretation of religious doctrines. I have seen many very incorrect interpretations of the Bible. And I have also seen the same for the Koran. Interesting article. I am amazed by the courage of his wife. Blessings to you!

Religion is nothing more than a teaching applied individually. One person picking up a butterknife and stabbing his entire family with it does not prevent, and never has prevented, someone else from taking a butterknife and buttering the bread of someone whose hands are too cold and stiff to move.

There is no problem per se, there is only the perception of the problem. See both sides, see the solution.

I think I recall Shoebat saying to close the Mosques that teach hate.

Religion can be the excuse of the moment, but if they didn't have any religion they would fight anyways look at Communism for a major example.

Inequality creates the hatred that fuels terrorism. That's where our attention should be.

as long as some countries still have nuclear weapons, the world will never be a safe place, which means, absolute LOVE can never be found.

Sounds nice. It would be great if our world was like that. But its not, and there are nuts and evil-doers around every corner these days.
