thinking about going interrailing in march.. going to poland, czech, slovakia and hungrary.. someone told us its cheaper not to buy interrailing ticket and just get trains as we want them.. anyone know if thats true??

If you're just concentrating on those 4 countries, I doubt there's a lot in it, unless you are doing a lot of international journeys, as train travel there is relatively cheap. Note that with an Inter-Rail ticket, you still have to pay extra for supplement or sleeper trains.

http://www.interrail.com/ is the official UK site for Inter-Rail, and gives you the prices. Note that it is significanly cheaper if you are under 26.
