We found a chewed box of uncooked pasta in our pantry and several shoes filled with that pasta. The closets are between 5 and 20 feet from pantry. We have found mouse droppings too! Am wondering if mice "store up" for the winter? It is pretty creepy to find these surprises!

Yes they do. When it starts getting cool they will come in your house. They will build a nest also so be sure and watch for that. They muiltply fast so watch out. They are so nasty. Good luck getting rid of them. If you get the glue trays get the white ones not the black ones they are to smart for them. The black ones did not work for me but the white ones did. I do not know the difference.

Do Mice Store Food

Yes, it's definitely mice. We have friends who have had this problem, but we have cats so we never have had mice. If you like animals and don't have allergies, cats are fairly easy to take care of and you will never have a rodent problem. Good luck!

Yes. they will "squirrel away" food for winter and it is amazing what they consider food and where they think they are hiding it. We stored our car for the winter months, for years and have found dog food in the heater vents and air cleaner. They can do some real damage as well, if not found right away!

I would call an exterminator to see if they can trace down where the mice are bedding. Because there are hardly ever only a couple.

You can get those sticky pads to rid of them. At a hardware store.
