HOLIDAY'S AREN'T THE ONLY TIME THE HOUSE SHOULD SMELL REALLY FRESH. I LIKE TO KEEP A PRETTY BOWL OF ORANGES STUDDED WITH CLOVES FOR A CLEAN FRESH SMELL. CINNAMON STICKS CAN BE PLACED IN A BOWL OF APPLES TO FRESHEN A ROOM. THE SUGGESTION GIVEN EARLIER FOR BED, BATH & BEYOND, I GO ONE STEP FURTHER, POUR ONE OF THOSE BAGS INTO YOUR VACUUM BAG, EVERYTIME YOU VACUUM IT FRESHENS THE AIR.

Go to a store like Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens and things (maybe even a craft store), and go to the section where they have potpourri and such. There you should find small metal rings that are designed to hold liquid. Sometimes they will come with essential oils, but if they don't, go buy an essential oil in your favorite scent. Then, you place the metal ring with the oil on a light bulb of a lamp that you use frequently. The light bulb will heat up the oil and make the whole room smell nice! :)

Potpourri is always a good choice. Try to find some that smells like pine, but be careful, they can also end up smelling like bathroom cleaner! Otherwise, a live Christmas tree will always smell wonderful. Just make sure to keep it watered and away from any furnace vents, and unplug the lights if you're going to be away from home. Or you can try your local florist or garden center, and buy some evergreen branches to put in water in a vase.

Have the carpet professionally cleaned and wash everything down.
You can put a drop of fragranced oil directly on a light bulb when it is OFF.Then turn the light on.If you put oil on the bulb while it is on, it may start a fire.
Use scented candles in moderation. No one wants to be overwhelmed.
The combination of clean and fresh with a light scent will be very nice.
Happy Holidays.

You can put a fabric softener sheet inside the vents where your heat blows out....or you can put a pot of water on the stove with some spice cinnamon sticks in it and simmer. Vacuum with a fabric softener sheet inside the canister of your sweeper.

Simmer water with cinnamon sticks, orange peals or lemon peals. Also put orange peals into garbage disposal and grind makes it smell real good.
