Sounds like you have a poor power connection. It may be at the battery terminals or it may be where the earth lead connects to the chassis.

The battery could also be failing, a trip to a quick fit centre can soon test that.

less likely is a major problem at the fusebox

The engine spins an alternator, which charges the battery. Your battery will stay full. However, in most cars, you could leave the engine off and use power, including headlights, for a few hours before the battery begins to run low. Oh, and ave fun "watching a movie" ;) Last time I tried something like that with my ex, we didn't do too much movie watching if u know what I mean lol

It sounds like it could be 1 of 3 problems, 1) yes it could be your battery needs some serious servicing( most likely cause) 2) you could have a short in the wiring some where or a problem in your pcm (computer) or 3) you have too many keys-n-bobbles on your key ring interfering with your ignition switch and module. Without proper diagnostics it is hard to tell exacts.

Most likely your battery terminals and fasten on to battery
want cleaning with wire wool or sand paper.
Also look at earth strap that goes s from engine to chaises
this may be warn or want tightening up because not
giving you a good earth, this is usually at bottom of engine.

Maybe the starter gets too warm. I know it sounds dumb, but I have that problem, the headers on my truck cause the starter to heat up, then when I turn my truck off and try to restart it right away, it won't work. I wait a bit, let it cool down and then it's fine.
