Depends on whom you ask.
Some would say baseball - but others would claim it's (American-style) football.
Baseball: "By the late nineteenth century, baseball was widely recognized as the national sport of the United States."
But that was then.
And this is now:
"Baseball is thought of "the national pastime"; but, since the early 1990s, American football has largely been considered the most popular sport in America."
"American football is the most popular spectator sport in the United States."
(As a side-note, auto-racing is said to be the second most popular spectator sport)

Baseball is America's "favorite pastime" but I personally believe Basketball is the national game of America, with Football as a close second.

There is no "official" national sport as far as I know.
In terms of popularity, Baseball was probably the most popular for most of the last century. Since probably the 1970s American Football has become America's main sport.

Most popular are football, basketball, baseball, and Nascar. But there isn't really an official national sport in the USA.
