Why do you think he/she keeps them?

I always kept pictures of old girlfriends because they were a part of my life. When I got married, I took all the pictures of old girlfriends out of my photo albums and threw them away. My wife was secure enough in our relationship so that the pictures didn't bother her, but I threw them away anyway just out of respect for her.
If you have a problem with a mate keeping pictures, it may mean that your mate feels that your relationship is not permanent.

My wife has pictures of everyone, including her ex boyfriends etc;. I normally wouldn't have a problem with it, because she had a life before me. What I have a problem with is, that I had alot of pictures of ex girlfriends when we got married. She found them, and questioned me like Dragnet. Out of respect, I threw them all away. Later, about 6 months down the road I find several photo albums and several boxes of pictures of hers with ex boyfriends. She still has them. Also, she has alot of old pics on her computer. She insisted I get rid of my old pictures and she keeps hers. What a *****.

When me and my fiance were going through some pictures i found a whole scrapbook full of his ex-fiance pictures.
He finally decided to throw them away because he doesn't need this memory anymore.
About a year before we got engaged, we barley started dating, i helped him move into his new appartment. While we were packing stuff up i found the pictures (that he threw away not too long ago). He said he really loved her but she cheated on him and started taking drugs so he dumped her. He wasn't ready to give that memory up yet.
Now, a year later, we're engaged and getting married in Februaray he was ready to forget her.
Back then i didn't care much that he kept the pictures because we just started dating. But now that we're getting ready to get married i'm kind of happy and relived that he threw them away. But he did it on his own, i never asked him to do it.

It drives me crazy! But that could be because I'm the jealous type. Although I don't mention or ever question it to my boyfriend, its still his personal choice to keep them. Sometimes it makes me feel like he still has feelings for keeping them, and others I think he's just a stupid guy and it strokes his ego to keep ex stuff. Am I completely wrong here?

He doesn't keep any. He only has a watch that was given to him but I guess he keeps it cause its a really nice one and he needs it to tell time with. Anyways I have kept one of my ex and I just do cause I still care about his well being. I don't get to see him much so I guess this is the only way I'll remember him.

My husband has pictures of his nakes exes when he lived in Korea. At first, I was jealous. But he married ME, not them, so I dont care. Plus, I have my own secreat pictures in a cd which he once found and looked at. He was so jealous. Basically he got a piece of the pie and felt what I felt when I saw those pics. But as I said, he married me!

Curiousity and extreme jealousy!
I find myself wondering what thier relationship was really like and how close they were. Then I start thinking about wheter this person could take my man from me if she wanted to...just all kinds of crazy random thoughts. But, heres what I do...Make crude jokes about the person and their looks and stuff. Then wait for your mates reaction...That will let you know where thier feeling stand with this person

Well it depends. Sometimes they keep a pic of the person they first fell in love with. Sometimes they just forget to get rid of the picture. My husband has some pics of his first love. It doesn't really bother me because he doesn't even look at them. If they were in his wallet then I would be bothered though.

nicely, when I see %. of my ex's i kind of snicker at them... yet i recommend, in case you actually loved the lady/ guy then yea. i ought to truly see feeling sick afterwards, which could tear me up undesirable. identity basically attempt to ward off pictures and such issues as that in any respect fee. because even a three hundred and sixty 5 days or so from now its nonetheless gonna result you.

I kind of got jealous when I found my ex's, ex's pictures. It dawned on me that these people have a special place in his heart.
But I guess as long as they are kept some place where they are never in my face, I can deal with their existence.
