Of course they will. They are two very good movie franchises, and have both been really profitable. I think pirates will probably make more money, but spidey will be the better film. Sam Raimi has done a beautiful job with Spidey 1 and 2.

Well, it really depends if you are talking about it being better for the box office or have better ratings. Then of course it depends on your opinion. For example Spider-man 2 had really good ratings but did poorly in the box office and Pirates 2 did really good in the box office but had poor ratings.
At first I had my doubts about Spider-man 3 because of how much was being stuffed into the film but now that I have seen the trailer I think that it is going to be a really good movie.
On the other hand, pirates just released a major cliff hanger which will want people to see what will happen next.
Anyway, I could go on forever giving positive advantages to both movies but overall I think that it will be so close that it won't matter.

I am looking forward to seeing Spiderman 3 and yes I do think it will be bigger than Pirates of the Caribbean

Not really. I mean, by the time 'Pirates' is released next Christmas, 'Spiderman 3' will have already run at theatres and will probally come out on dvd the same time Pirates comes out at the theatres. So, neither movie will be fighing for the 'same' movie dollars. One will get the summer dollars. One will get the winter dollars. No competition required ;-)

Pirates will probably out gross Spiderman. Pirates 2 broke several box office records.

yes i think those two movies will be a close battle in 2007. But i think that Spiderman 3 will when because it has more action and adventure in it.

Pirates of the caribbean will totally kick spiderman 3 a**. If johnny depp is in a movie and is dressed as a sexy pirate than POTC will so win hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pirates of the Caribbean has done a lot better that spider man in the cinema than spider man so i thing pirates of the Caribbean

Both last Spiderman movies sucked, so there's not much to expect from the third part.Pirates on the oher hand last two parts were one of the best movies at the time when they were performed.
