I`m 14 too, I have a boyfriend but I`m telling you it brings you ALOT of troubles at our age, especially when your parents are disapproving of it. So I advise you to let nature take its course, you`ll find your boy soon.
About the braces, you seem to mind that you`re wearing it, but come on, you`ll have a nice set of teeth soon ! Think positive. And if someone really likes you, they`ll not really care about the brace.

i dont see the what harm can braces bring to you, its a good thing, it'll make you look prettier and more attractive in no time! but then at 14, i dont think its appropriate to date, i'm 19 but then i dont feel like dating, join a group of friends that you're comfortable with, and girls like you ought to wait till the right timing, you are old enough to know what you want to achieve, achieve it before having a bf that can interfere with your goals!

I think when you can spell, then you will be old enough to start worrying about dating. Until then, floss between those braces every day like I did at your age :)
