when i click on my external hard drive it won't open unless i explore. it is autoplaying the ravmone.exe virus and i wanna remove it. How do i do this?

My AVG Anti Virus 7.5 quarrantined the same RavMonE.exe from my computer as well as my friend's flash drive when she used my computer. If you don't have AVG Anti Virus 7.5. Try installing the free version from the site that the other answerers have provided and then scan your external hard drive, if possible in safe mode.

if you are runnin wndows me or xp you can click on run the type msconfig this will bring up a box with tabs showing all running processes on your computer. ravmone.exe should be on the list if you uncheck the box beside it and click apply it will not run the next time you start your computer. It will tell you to restart after making this change
