I take it that you want to be a physician.
In what country do you plane to go to medical school? (Many Indians take their medical educations in the US or UK.)

Speaking from the US perspective, I strongly recommend getting the broadest and deepest pre-medical education possible. Study history, literature, philosophy, psychology, social sciences, maths in addition to the core science courses of the pre-medical curriculum. Get experience dealing with people in a helping situation; do volunteer work with the poor, dispossessed, sick (not necessarily in hospitals). Get a sense of your own direction and commitment. You are quite young, and your life experience is just now beginning to bloom. Therefore you need to eveluate just why you want to be a doctor. Financial and social prestige are woefully inadequate by themselves, and lead to the production of physicians who may be shallow and arrogant in spite of passing the curriculum with good grades. Medicine is a scientifically based profession that is primarily a humane and helping profession. The potential and performance of prospective students in the former are easy to measure with objective testing; the latter is deeply personal and difficult to measure. You must ask yourself those sorts of question, and find a way to measure yourself against them.

I am from Greece and a freshmen in medical school of Athens.Until now i am not so thrilled with the classes but i am sure that in the future i am gonna love them(as time passes you are trained more in clinics where you have first person contact with your patients which is of the utmost importance for a training doctor).I joined this profession on the grounds that i really love helping people and lending a helping hand when this is necessary.Offering life because ,that is what doctors do is, is unrepeatable. As far as tips are concerned i dont have any at hand.I hope that you will become an excellent doctor.Have a nice day.

Im a student now in final year Mbbs.My advice is that think carefully over your decision...because you must be mentally prepared to tough years ahead...and do remember that it wont end with Mbbs....you will need to struggle a lot to get into post grad and thereafter in your early practise as well. This can be quite frustrating if you are not ready for it.And you may feel depressed seeing friends in other streams achieving success much earlier in life, and more easily as well.

And you must have a financial backup atleast till your practise settles well ,by your mid thirties.

But all said and done, a career in medicine can be very satisfying if you have an aptitude for it.And there are many options to choose from after mbbs, besides the conventional ones. And not to mention the sheer joy when people call you 'doctor'!

hi. i just finished my MD.
and my advice is that if you're in india and yu want to be a doc, then be prepared for a long struggle with no returns guaranteed. think about ot, long working hours and lesser pay, and not to mention a growing dissatisfaction amongst the general public. think twice, if yu really want to give it a go, wil surely guide yu.

indexed right here are some examples from historic previous... Stalin equipped a his very own political gadget interior the Communist social gathering mutually as Lenin became in charge. He became "elected" by ability of the Communist social gathering after Lenin died. He has meant to have mentioned "power does not lie with the voters yet with who counts the votes." Mussolini seized power in a chilly coup whilst hundreds of his supporters marched on Rome, and demanded that he be put in power. Franco got here to power by ability of prevailing the Spanish Civil war. Hitler became able to declare a "state of emergency" after the Reichstag fire. there became a provision interior the Wiemar Republic's shape that allowed him to try this. Technically, the Wiemar Republic nonetheless existed decrease than Hitler, (yet in basic terms on paper) i anticipate this question relies on the priority of "Reichstag'" style incident taking place u.s.. there is not any clause interior u.s. shape could enable the President to declare martial regulation over the great u . s . a . with none limits. President Lincoln confronted the worst disaster in American historic previous... an entire scale civil war. Elections have been nonetheless held, and loose speech endured. This historic precedent is a effectual one. i've got no longer had all that plenty faith in our leaders, yet i've got faith in our equipment of government.
