Hi, I am writing to ask about a problem my girlfriend is having with her eyes. It's happened a few times over the years and it's a matter of real concern for me. What troubles me is that she suffers from a complete loss of vision in both eyes and feels as if she is about to pass out. She becomes very pale white and I have also noticed that she will break out in a light sweat. She'll have to sit down and then after a while, she is back to normal as if nothing has happened.
It has happened once at a concert and twice while standing in line. Last week she told me that she woke up and collapsed in the middle of the night on the way to the restroom resulting in really bad bruises.
I'm really worried about her and I need some information so I can persuade her to see a doctor. Thanks for reading this and I hope you have a great day! I appreciate all your help.

i think this case is called amaurosis fugax
it is transient episodes of visual loss which often described as a curtain coming down from above or across their vision, usually with complete return of vision within seconds or minutes.
it has different aietiologies (causes):
1-emboli in the retinal arteries (most common cause)
2-arterial diseases as carotid artery stenosis or ulceration
3-cardiac diseases as valvular diseases or dysrhythmias
4-blood diseases as anemia , polycythemia or sickle cell anemia
5-other as mechanical compression of vertebral or carotid arteies , hypertensive or hypotensive episodes, drugs or raised intracranial pressure
treatment is identifying the underlying cause and seeking treatment for it

That sounds like something a family friend went through. Those symptoms quickly changed to seizures. She ended up having a seizure in a hotel by herself and died. Please tell your girlfriend to get to a doctor as soon as possible. If she won't go confer with her family. This is a possible life or death situation.
