Well then, I guess we can defund all of those animal rescue units out there.

Assumes facts not in evidence. Why do you believe we are useless, when in fact we are at the Crown of Creation? Yes, you can find an animal to symbolize every good character attribute, but take a look at the whole species and how they behave, and you will see that we cannot use animals for role models.
Bees are more industrious than we are, but have no concept of liberty, or indeed anything other than the will of the hive -- pure communism.
Lions are courageous, but they are also pretty brutal, and sexist in the extreme. The lioness does all the work, the lion just does the roaring and fighting.
Even the American Bald Eagle, with all its noble posture and its importance as a symbolic value, is a hunter that will carry away its prey, still alive and screaming in fear, rather than make a clean and relatively painless kill.
Cats play with their mice before they eat them.
Herbivores are no better as role models: do we really want to be sheep or cattle, relying always on mindless following of a master?
The only way you could call us useless would be to completely subtract our own needs and desires from the planets ecosystem and argue that the world was better off before we started to change it. That may be true enough, if you have a time machine to go back before Lucy. But what we have now is a world transformed by the hand of man, and only man can correct the errors in that transformation and clean up his own mess.

Your question is incomplete, you are asking about a relation, but no comparison to identify. All counts, what do you mean by all counts, specify and elaborate. Human beings are superior to animals, in that we are self conscious, animals don't exhibit self consciousness. Indeed, they do exhibit other characteristics such as emotion, pain, hunger and thirst; but this is common among living things. What makes people beings, is the other factors that we seem to have and not animals. We can build an altar and worship a creator. We can stand in front of an audience and lecture on various subject matter. We learn, think, reason and build upon knowledge. We can play Chess, which requires foresight and logical thinking. I love animals, I have 7 cats, 4 of which I have rescued and had two females and one male neutered. The other male was already neutered.

I don't know what species of animal you are, but it's obvious that you are jealous of our far superior intellect. Get over it.
