Yes you can wash your shower curtain in the washing machine.

Chlorine bleach will turn some plastic yellow.

Wash it with a few towels to buff the soap scum off it.

Dry it in the dryer only a few minutes to get the wrinkles out and make it pliable. Hang it back up immediately.

You can do it easily in your washing machine. Here's how:
1. Set you washer load to "High" or "Extra Large", whatever the largest capacity is. Use the normal cycle.
2. Add your detergent and bleach.
3. Toss in your shower curtain and a white towel. The towel will "scrub" the shower curtains when the machine agitates.
4. After the machine finishes, take the shower curtain and put it into your dryer with a *dry* white towel. Use medium heat. In about 10 minutes, your curtain should be almost dry and wrinkle-free!

You can wash them in the machine. If they are really old, do not wash them in cold water, but warm water. Do not dry shower curtains in the dryer. The curtains will not ring out well in the spin cycle, so you will need to get a bucket or something big enough to carry the curtains back to the shower. Hang the shower curtain back up, and let it dry. Good luck.

Yes and no. If it's a cheap thing, no, I'd wash it in the tub. If sturdy, then yes, wash in washing machine. Usually that's sufficient. If you still look a bit scumy after, run thru again with vinegar.

Yes, you can wash them!!! Don't put them in the dryer. Use some bleach to sanitize. After alot of washings, they might start tearing - then you throw them out, or use for a tarp.

I just toss them because you never get them really clean and they're cheap to replace.

There are specialized cleaning sprays you can use easily found at the grocery store. Just spray and walk away!
