We shouldn't have to. The article seems to have summed it up pretty accurately.

All we can hope is that the great British voting public put their thinking heads on in the next general election and rid the country of all of the Phony -Tony New-Labour types. Prescott included.

Not sure the Tories are much better but anything is better than New Labour. Maybe give the Lib-Dems a chance this time around?

when does the general public ever get listened to? even if there was enough fuss about him, nothing would be done.
look at the war in iraq. did the british public get a say in that? and even after all the objection and the fact that it blantantly is doing no good, the troops are still in iraq.

We put up with people like him because the alternative is even worse. Imagine having William Hague, Ann Widdowcombe and Michael Howard in charge...... OMG....... I will have nightmares tonight.

We put up with him...and others...because they were elected.
When we are all perfect people we could then expect perfect politicians........but we would not need them then, would we?
