Will I be able to remove the nose piercing or hide it in some way so that it won't be noticable and won't affect getting a job?

Take out the hoop and make it a staff or stud and then put something over it that looks like a mole. Mole or piercing... your choice.

what kind of job are you thinking about getting? how often are you going to be working? it usually takes 6-8 weeks for a nose piercing to heal. during that time, it's not a good idea to remove the piercing so you need to take that into consideration.

if you're trying to get a nine to five in a professional environment, visible piercings and tattoos most likely will not be tolerated. the dress code for those types of environments is usually on the conservative side. the best thing to do would be to wait and get a job FIRST, and spend a month or two getting a feel for whether or not that sort of thing is okay.

if you're trying to get a job at the mall or in a retail store, they tend to be a little more lenient, but it depends on the store. it also depends on the type of jewelry you choose. a stud probably would not be as offensive to the people doing the hiring as a hoop. stores in the mall that cater to teenagers and young adults are a lot less stuffy about body piercings so you may not have as much of a problem getting hired there. other stores like department stores or the ones geared more towards adults or working professionals probably won't go for that.

my advice is to figure out where you want to work, and check out the employees before applying for a job there. they're usually a good indication as to whether or not something like that would be okay.

and please make sure you go to a reputable piercing and tattoo shop to get it done. DO NOT get pierced at the mall with a gun.

That's a tough call. Finding clear or flesh colored nose studs is actually difficult. They tell you to put a pice of fishing line in there to keep it open while you are at work, but it irritated the heck out of my nose. I know that Claire's has a good variety of nose studs that you can keep relatively hidden, or even trim down. Or, see if wherever you get it pierced has clear retainers for your nose. Fortunately, I have a job now that tolerates very small nose piercings, thank god, because I was seriously considering letting it close up just to avoid the hassle. Good luck!

If your nose hasn't healed you can cover it by taking skin-tone bandaides and using a hole puncher to make tiny dots out of it. Then peel of the back and stick it over the stud THEN blend with your makeup. This covers it wonderfully and if anything just say you have a zit.

If your nose has healed, you can buy fishing line the same gauge as your stud and cut it and stick it in the whole to keep it from growing up. You cant see this stuff at all and it is super cheap, one roll of fishing line will last you nearly forever.

When I applied for my current position, there was a woman with a small stud in her nose also making an application. I noticed she was politely, but abruptly turned away, ostensibly for other reasons, but I feel certain the piercing had something to with it. The fact of the matter is YES this may very well affect your future employability, and I would advise against it!! In your private life, why not just buy those studs that you apply with adhesive?

It depends on what type of job. Generally, a pierced nose is not acceptable. Also, visible tattoos are not acceptable. Again, it depends on what you want to do. No matter how we may think times have changed, this is still a very conservative country.

i think of in case you relatively need your nostril pierced with hobby you may desire to pass forward and get it pierced the next day. your pals Dad even with the undeniable fact it relatively is extremely incorrect on that assertion, a nostril piercing won't be able to wreck your possibility of having a job as long as you do no longer placed on it to the interview. A nostril piercing isn't as undesirable as getting a tongue,an eyebrow, or lip piercing performed. additionally in case you do no longer like it you are able to consistently enable it p.c. up and the scar will heal by utilising itself.

Employeers are concerned about the appearance of thier employees. You are, after all, the public face of the business (to the customer you ARE the business) Many employeers don't want employees to have facial piercings. If you want a job, don't get pierced. I'm sure your face looks just fine without the need for a hole in it.
